Common Questions
Wheel to Wheel Detailing is a specialist detailing shop in Creston BC, founded by Scott Irwin in 2024. Scott trained as an auto body technician in auto restoration before opening the shop, and the business covers interior and exterior detailing, machine paint correction, and multi-year protective coatings for cars, trucks, RVs and boats across the Creston Valley. Open Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, by appointment. Free quotes at (250) 402-9986.
At Wheel to Wheel Detailing in Creston, a basic interior detail runs $180 to $220 and a full interior with extraction runs $280 to $320. An exterior detail is $120 and headliner stain removal is $40. Maintenance plans are available at a heavily reduced rate once a first full detail is done. Paint correction starts at $600 and protective coating packages start at $500 for two years.
At Wheel to Wheel Detailing a maintenance detail takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours, an interior detail takes 2 to 4 hours depending on condition, and an exterior detail takes about 1.5 hours. Paint correction is a 2-day job on newer paint and 4 to 5 days in severe cases, because the paint is left to breathe between steps. Coating packages take a minimum of 2 days and up to 4 depending on the options chosen.
Paint correction removes a thin layer of clearcoat that holds defects such as hazing, swirling, micro-marring, staining and superficial scratches. It is a machine process using compounds, pads and abrasives in sequence — not a wax that hides the problem. Wheel to Wheel Detailing gives a free assessment first: 1-step correction starts at $600, 2-step at $1,100, and 3-step for older oxidised paint at $1,600. If your paint looks dull or hazy in direct sun rather than simply dirty, correction is what fixes it.
Wheel to Wheel Detailing uses GTechniq professional ceramic coatings — a silicon and titanium based chemistry. Scott previously used System X and moved to GTechniq, and holds the certification GTechniq requires before their professional range can be bought or applied. Packages run 2 years at $500, 4 years at $900 and 6 years at $1,300 — each warrantied against oxidation and paint staining for the term, and each including full body, windshield and wheel faces. A carnauba wax is also available at $200 for cars and $250 for trucks, wash included, if you would rather not commit to a coating.
Yes. Wheel to Wheel Detailing details and protects boats and RVs as well as cars and trucks, and paint correction is offered on all of them. On Kootenay Lake in particular, hard water spotting sets fast on a hot hull and launch grit is hard on gel coat and trailers, so protection is doing real work. RV and boat jobs are priced individually by size and condition — contact the shop for a quote.
Wheel to Wheel Detailing works by appointment only, Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm. Because correction and coating run across multiple days — and the paint has to be left to breathe between steps — the calendar is planned in advance. Call (250) 402-9986 or send the quote form and Scott will come back with a time.
Wheel to Wheel Detailing is based in Creston BC and serves the Creston Valley including Erickson, Canyon, Wynndel and Lister. The shop also looks after the Kootenay Lake east shore — Crawford Bay is about an hour up Highway 3A, along with Boswell, Gray Creek, Kootenay Bay and Riondel on the same route, where boat and RV work is a bigger share of the job.
Yes. Wheel to Wheel Detailing runs a fully self-sufficient mobile setup with an onboard generator and water tank, so no power or water is needed from you — nothing to plug in, no hose to run. Mobile covers interior and exterior detailing at the same prices as the shop; paint correction and coatings stay in the shop because they need controlled lighting and a controlled cure environment. The service area runs from Crawford Bay to Moyie and everywhere in between.
The detail itself is priced the same as shop work — basic interior from $180, full interior with extraction from $280, exterior detail $120. On top of that, all mobile work carries a travel fee of at least $20. Yahk and Sanca are $80, and Crawford Bay or Moyie are $110, with everywhere in between quoted on the same scale. You are told the total, travel included, before anything is booked.
What Customers Say
Absolutely amazing service! They made our 2022 Honda Sport look brand new again. We needed a deep clean after a pretty rough mess (including spills and odors), and they completely eliminated the smell , you’d never know anything happened.

Fantastic experience with Scott at Wheel to Wheel Detailing. He responded quickly to my request, gave me a better quote than the competition, and was a breeze to deal with. He drove me home after I brought him my car and his car was immaculate...

To say my experience with “Wheel to Wheel” has been fantastic would be understatement! A truer gentleman and more service minded bro has seldom been met. Scott, the owner has been taking care of me for a few months now.
